The pediatric hematology division at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas has an excellent program to care for children with ITP. The program is directed by Dr. George Buchanan. This website contains helpful information for children with ITP and their families.
The ITP Support Association is an
active support group for patients with ITP in England. The ITP Support
Association publishes a quarterly newsletter, The Platelet, and helpful
brochures. Dr. James George and Dr. George Buchanan (Chief of Pediatric
Hematology/Oncology at the University of Texas Medical School, Dallas) are
active supporters of this group. Information may be obtained from the
Association Co-ordinator, Mrs. Shirley Watson.
