Discussion: Like placental site trophoblastic tumor, ETTs are unlikely to respond to the same chemotherapy drugs instituted for choriocarcinoma. Surgery is the most accepted form of treatment. Serum hCG is usually low. Most cases are not associated with a previous molar pregnancy. Cells are usually small, round and uniform forming nests often showing “geographic” necrosis and calcification.
