Discussion: Batson's plexus is name after Dr. Oscar Vivian Batson, an American otolaryngologist.The paravertebral venous plexus of Batson forms and extensive system of venous channels both within and alongside the spinal canal provide direct communication from the venous return of the peritoneum and the lower body to the cranial cavity and spinal canal. There are no valves in Batson’s plexus and flow may be bi-directional during the Valsalva manoeuvre or a change of body position. It represent important pathway for metastasis.
