Discussion:
- This photo was taken from a medulloblastoma and the structures being shown
here (delimited by the arrows) are Homer Wright rosettes. This type of
rossette is often seen in neuroblastomas arising from the adrenal glands and
other locations. They are also seen in some cases of medulloblastomas.
- Although Homer Wright rosettes can occur in retinoblastoma, Flexner-Wintersteiner
rosettes are far more common in retinoblastomas. [Click
