Pathology for Neurosurgery and Neurology Trainees (PNNT) is an online neuropathology learning program provided by the Department of Pathology of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) and is designed specifically for neurosurgery and neurology trainees. At this point, there are more surgical cases than medical cases here and neurosurgery residents should find this site particularly helpful. We will add more medical neuropathology cases in future. Your comments and critiques will help us to improve this program. Contact Us
Neuroanatomy Slides Online whole slide images are available at NeuroAnat [http://moon.ouhsc.edu/kfung/JTY1/NeuroAnat/AA-Neuroanat-WSIOU-M.htm]. These online image may be helpful in reviewing neuroanatomy.
Diagnostic Challenge The material below are PowerPoint presentations selected cases from our every day diagnostic materials as well as our archives of educational material. Most of them are classic examples and you should be able to make a diagnosis based on the images provided. The diagnosis and discussion is presented at the end of the presentations. Please note that radiologic images are not provided in most cases. The importance of correlating radiologic images with histologic picture cannot be over emphasized. The reason to skip the radiologic images is to emphasize the importance of detailed histologic observations. The discussion is limited to the highlights of these cases. Audience are expected to refer to standard textbook for further information.
