A 55 year-old Woman with a Well-defined Round Lesion in the Lung

Clinical information: The patient was a 55 year-old woman. A well-defined round lesion in the lung that was discovered on routine chest X-ray. The resection yielded the following specimen.

Panel A is taken at the interface between the lesion and adjacent lung parenchyma. Panel B is taken from the periphery of the lesion and Panel C is the higher magnification of this area. Panel D and E are taken from the center of the lesion.
