The Faculty Leadership Program is a series of highly interactive, small group seminars led by faculty and administrators to give colleagues a insider's view of the academic health center. Faculty today fulfill complex roles. The skills to balance those roles and make good career decisions develop over time, but we believe that our faculty and university can excel when we share strategies for effectively handling the opportunities and challenges of our environment. Founded in 1990, the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Faculty Leadership Program is an innovative approach to interdisciplinary and inter-professional faculty development in the health sciences and human services.
The program is led through a partnership between the Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost, and the Office of the Executive Dean, College of Medicine. Sponsoring OUHSC Colleges include Allied Health, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, Medicine and the Graduate College.
The OUHSC Faculty Leadership Program includes a Summer Institute specifically tailored to the national community of health and human services faculty involved with interdisciplinary education in these fields and at the Historically Black, Native American and Hispanic Colleges.
